Hong Kong Trade Development Council The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) is the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong's external trade. It operates in world markets through a global network of offices and a specialised Internet portal site, tdctrade.com - a first stop in cyberspace for anyone doing trade in Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland or the wider Asia-Pacific region. Backed by more than three decades of experience, the TDC creates business opportunities and facilitates trade. It also promotes a positive image of Hong Kong as Asia's international business hub, especially for business with the Chinese mainland. TDC's main clientele are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Council also assists inward missions buying from Hong Kong or using Hong Kong as a base for entering markets in the Chinese mainland and the region. In promoting a positive image of Hong Kong, the TDC: organises high-level business seminars and networking events overseas; supports bilateral committees with Hong Kong's major economic partners; organises Hong Kong Business Associations in key overseas markets; conducts international advertising campaigns, and publishes Hong Kong Trader dispatching important Hong Kong business news to influential readers around the world both in print and over the Internet via tdctrade.com.
